As many of you gamers know, Ubisoft has recently released the much-anticipated Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, a sequel to the 2016 game Tom Clancy’s The Division, set in post-pandemic Washington D.C. in the aftermath of a bio-attack. The online action RPG follows the player as an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division as they fight to save the nation from the brink of collapse.
NETGEAR’s Nighthawk Pro Gaming is pleased to have partnered up with Ubisoft to launch a bundle with the XR450 (one of our popular Nighthawk Pro Gaming routers) and the standard version of the game on PC. The bundle is an online exclusive to Amazon and Newegg for $249, and includes a code for the Division 2 on PC.
Much of the action in this game is cover, shoot and loot. Early in the story, it may be more advantageous to use a pistol than your assault rifle. The main story presses forward as you accept missions but side quests appear and allow for better crafting materials and upgrades. The game is easy to get started with, as Ubisoft has a very solid tutorial that guides you through those opening minutes.
Upgrades to armor and weapons can be farmed from enemies and the game uses a level zone system that keeps low level agents out of getting into deep trouble. Many players will be very familiar with the layout and grind for better gear.
The Division 2 with its online only play is helped by the XR450 geo-filter. Setting this to connect to the nearest server will help reduce lag. The XR450’s advanced QoS, featuring 3 levels of prioritization will help keep your online play free of lag spikes and jitters caused by other network devices demanding bandwidth, such as media streaming services, smart devices and VoIP.
With a gorgeous rendering of post-apocalyptic D.C., an engaging storyline and hours of side quests and gear grinding, the Division 2 looks to be the fun alternative this Spring to battle royales.
Good luck agents.
